Angela Ferguson and James Austin have been in partnership since May, 1998 and at the same location in Kansas City MO since then. Both Angela and Jim have been Chapter Chairs of the MO/KS AILA Chapter multiple times. Angela Ferguson taught Immigration Law at Washburn Law School in Topeka Kansas from 2000 to 2007; Jim Austin is currently an Adjunct Professor at the Univ. of MO/KC School of Law. Advocacy for better immigration laws is a priority for this firm. We have one additional lawyer, Catalina Velarde, who is a native of Mexico and has an MBA in addition to her law degree.
