Alice Burgos is the Founding Attorney at Burgos Law. Her career is dedicated to representing U.S. companies, entrepreneurs and immigrant investors in legal services related to company formation, trademark protection, and retention of immigrant employee talent.

Prior to opening her own law firm, she was an attorney at an immigration firm focused on investor visas, employment visas, religious employment visas, national interest waiver visas, family sponsorship visas, and citizenship. She also handled company formation for E-2 investors.

Attorney Burgos is passionate about litigating immigration matters in federal court. She litigates federal lawsuits against United States Citizenship and Immigration Services (“USCIS”) and the Department of State (“DOS” or “the U.S. Consulates”) on immigration-related issues in the Northern, Middle, and Southern District of Florida. She also collaborates as co-counsel or filing attorney with immigration attorneys throughout the United States who need to defend their clients in Florida Federal Courts. She enjoys sharing her experience, strategies, and federal practice materials with other attorneys for the overall benefit of immigrants.

Attorney Burgos is committed to serving her community. She serves on the Board of the Adult Literacy League, a non-profit dedicated to building a literate community. The Adult Literacy League offers classes, assessments, and tutoring to teach the community to read, write, and communicate in English, pass the U.S. Citizenship Exam, and so much more. You can find more information about this impactful community organization or make a donation at www.adultliteracyleague.org

Attorney Burgos was born in Bronx, New York, but is a longtime resident of Central Florida. She graduated from Boone High School and earned a Bachelor’s Degree in Legal Studies from the University of Central Florida. She is family-orientated and happily married to Giancarlo Rivera. Alice and Giancarlo attended law school together as well as graduated Cum Laude and top 10 of their class. Giancarlo is an attorney working for a major firm in Central Florida focused on representing employers and insurance carriers in workers’ compensation claims.
