Douglas H. Kim is a 1.5 generation immigrant, who practices immigration law in Charlotte, North Carolina. He had a managerial position for overseeing the South American market for Samsung Electronics America Inc. Thus, he has a firsthand knowledge of intracompany transfer of employees relocating in and out of the United States (L1, B1, H1B, EB1 , EB2 , etc.). In addition, his duties included creating and reviewing international contracts.
He believes in getting to know his clients as individuals, not just as business contacts. Due to the fact that the attorney lived and worked in different parts of the world, he understands and respects the cultures of different nationalities. He spends time with his clients to understand what their needs and goals are for short-term and long-term. By understanding the client's situations in detail, he will determine what the most effective and safest legal solutions are for that particular client.
