Our founder, Miriam Bustamante Riedmiller, speaker at the Smithsonian Institution’s 2010 FolkLife Festival in Washington D.C., told your story and her story to millions of audience present at the National Mall and online. Her speech was crucial as Comprehensive Immigration Reform (CIR) debates raged in Congress and across America. As a former immigrant from the Philippines who naturalized into an American citizen, Ms. Riedmiller stated in her speech, her mission as an immigration attorney:
