The Law Office of Joel Friedman is devoted exclusively to the practice of U.S. immigration law. Headquartered in scenic downtown San Diego, California, we represent corporate and individual clients in business and family immigration matters nationwide and abroad.
The focus of our business immigration practice is assisting businesses and foreign workers to obtain work visas and permanent residence (green cards). Work visas for foreign nationals include the H-1B for a professional in a specialty occupation, E-1 for a treaty trader, E-2 for a treaty investor, L-1A for multinational managers and executives, L-1B for specialized knowledge employees, TN for persons from Canada or Mexico who qualify under the North American Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA), as well as other types of visas that confer temporary work authorization.
Our business immigration practice also includes representing clients for green cards through employment and the labor certification process. We have expertise in traditional labor certifications, the process known as "Reduction in Recruitment" or "RIR," and the current labor certification program known as PERM. We also represent persons of extraordinary ability, national interest waiver applicants, and other candidates for green cards related to U.S. employment.
Our family immigration practice concentrates on uniting families and providing representation in U.S. citizenship matters. The family cases in which we provide assistance to our clients include obtaining green cards based upon marriage to a U.S. citizen, green cards for parents, brothers, sisters, sons, and daughters, fiancé and fiancée visas, as well as other family-related immigration matters. We also specialize in U.S. citizenship and naturalization cases for green card holders and other persons.
We strive to provide high-quality legal service at reasonable cost. We combine experience and personal devotion to each case with state-of-the-art technology to serve our clients.
